Story Background

At the beginning of the world's creation, the universe was a vast expanse of water. Under this expanse, there were various underwater creatures. The entire oceanic universe was controlled by gigantic sea monsters that enjoyed all the resources of land, sky, and sea. However, due to a drastic climate change, a severe mass extinction event occurred, leading to the extinction of about 90% of underwater creatures, and the near disappearance of the dominant sea creature population. Some surviving sea creatures were forced to undergo racial evolution as the ocean was no longer their sole habitat.

As the sea level dropped, a supercontinent called Etrurar emerged, accompanied by the god Larfis, who created everything in the universe. Larfis sculpted mountains, glaciers, hills, and deserts on this continent, followed by the creation of humans, elves, and plant life. Humans, initially created by the gods, called themselves Latheos, meaning descendants of gods. They were born with control over the five divine powers of wind, fire, thunder, electricity, and rain. They possessed a thirst for knowledge, a spirit of exploration and adventure, and the highest honor comparable to that of the gods.

However, the arrogant Latheos believed that their innate divine powers could surpass the gods themselves. Their disrespectful actions towards the true gods angered Larfis, and thus, an apocalypse befell the continent of Etrurar. Mountains and valleys were shattered by erupting volcanoes, rivers and lakes turned into boiling seas of flames, ashes, and smoke, erupting like fountains from the underground. The land crumbled and disintegrated, and the sea surged back, shattering the continent of Etrurar into scattered fragments. Along with the catastrophe came unprecedented turmoil on this continent...
